Published research comes first
These articles explain existing scholarship. They do not present new excavations, original decipherments, interviews, or fieldwork by Paleo Pro. We prefer original papers, excavation reports, museum catalogues, and institutional sources. We identify a press release as a press release and distinguish a proposed reading from a settled fact.
Editorial pen names
Eitan Shalev, Noam Kedem, and Tamar Erez are editorial pen names used by Paleo Pro. They are not biographies of archaeologists or claims of professional credentials. Paleo Pro is the publisher responsible for the articles.
AI-assisted drafting
We use AI to help find, explain, draft, and check material against the cited sources. This is not a claim of academic peer review or independent human review. Source links let you inspect the underlying evidence and its limits.
Dates and the launch archive
The first three articles were published on October 6, 2026. Their earlier archive issue dates organize the launch collection; they do not mean the articles were online on those dates. Search metadata and the RSS feed use the actual publication dates. The year of a discovery or paper is stated separately in the text.
When evidence is uncertain
We keep qualifications that affect the meaning of a claim, including uncertain letter readings, proposed dates, differences between sources, and the limits of a study's sample. Older research is presented with its publication year, not as breaking news.
Sources and corrections
Each post has links beside its claims and a reading list at the end. Changes that alter an argument should carry a dated correction note. To report an error, use the contact details on the publisher’s website and include the article URL and the source you want us to check.
