Paleo-Hebrew keyboard for iPhone
Add Paleo Pro's keyboard to type Paleo-Hebrew in apps that support third-party keyboards. Paleo Pro is free and requires iOS 26 or later.
Add the keyboard
- Install Paleo Pro from the App Store.
- Open iPhone Settings.
- Select General, then Keyboard, then Keyboards.
- Select Add New Keyboard and choose Paleo Pro.
Switch to Paleo Pro
Open a text field in an app such as Notes. Touch and hold the globe or emoji key, then choose the Paleo Pro keyboard. Use the same menu to switch back.
Apple documents these controls in its iPhone keyboard guide.
If the keyboard does not appear
Check that Paleo Pro is installed and listed under Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboards. Try a normal text field in Notes. Some apps restrict third-party keyboards, and iOS uses its own keyboard in secure fields. Apple explains these keyboard limits.
Copied letters may look different in another app. The receiving font determines the visible letter shapes. You can also use the browser converter to copy Paleo-Hebrew text.
Learn the letters first
Use the 22-letter alphabet chart to compare Paleo-Hebrew with modern Hebrew. The keyboard changes the script you type.
