How to convert Hebrew text
- Type or paste modern Hebrew in the first field.
- Choose a letterform to change how the Paleo-Hebrew letters look.
- Select Copy to copy the text as Unicode characters.
- Select Swap direction to convert Paleo-Hebrew back to modern Hebrew.
A conversion example
The Hebrew word שלום becomes 𐤔𐤋𐤅𐤌. The word stays the same. Only the script changes.
Options and limits
Strip vowels removes Hebrew vowel points and cantillation marks when converting to Paleo-Hebrew. Final letters restores final forms at word endings when converting back. Word dividers replaces spaces with dots when converting to Paleo-Hebrew.
Convert between modern Hebrew and Paleo-Hebrew letters. Historical letterforms change the display font. Copied Paleo text uses Unicode's Phoenician block, so its appearance depends on the receiving app and font.
